I’m Alexis M. Westbrook, PsyD, a licensed clinical psychologist and founder of BrownSkinPsych®. I provide online psychotherapy for adults throughout Illinois, including clients in Chicago and the Greater Chicagoland area. In-person appointments are available for psychological assessments and evaluations when clinically indicated and arranged in advance. I provide culturally responsive, evidence-based care for adults navigating depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, burnout, relationship concerns, identity, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, direct, and deeply human, with attention to each person’s culture, context, strengths, and lived experience. In addition to individual psychotherapy, I provide psychological evaluations and professional consultation.
